Went for about a 30km run this morning, from Carlingford to Parramatta Park, round the park a couple of times (climbed the hill both times), then out to Rosehill and back to Carlingford along James Ruse Drive and Pennant Hills Road. Got further up the big hill on James Ruse Drive leading up to Pennant Hills Road than I did last time, but squibbed it on the hill leading up towards the King's School. Ah well, it's time in the saddle, as they say. Got back to receive a $30 donation from Paul Simpson at Youth Insearch - thanks Paul!
Work will take me to Melbourne for the next couple of days and then down to Canberra on Friday night for a look at the Egyptian antiquities from the Louvre: journey to the afterlife exhibition at the National Gallery, so I'll be off the air for a couple of days. Tony and I are going to do the Bay to Bay run again on Sunday, so that should get the blood pumping again. Off to Darling Harbour this afternoon for a work function so will try to be good so I can get a ride in tomorrow morning.

Hi David (and Tony),
I read your last post about the Bay to Bay ride on Sunday. Though I don't really live close by I try to get out on as many Bike North rides as possible and they are pretty much all in your area. I was planning on riding with them this Sunday. This weeks ride is an easy-medium 35km ride from Meadowbank to Concord, via Gladesville Bridge for coffee commencing at 07:30am. Depending on your plans, perhaps you could join us for the early ride before your Bay to Bay (or not!).
Their website is: http://www.bikenorth.org.au/ and they have rides of varying gradients every week, usually departing Meadowbank Wharf at an ugly hour (07:30am) on Sunday morning. Let me know if you are interested in any of their rides as I would love you to join us. Also, please keep me posted on any weekend rides you have planned (like the Bay to Bay) as I would definitely love to come along (if my schedule permits).
The blog is great and I look forward to reading about your training and fundraising updates. I sincerely hope that you get a clean bill of health - you certainly sound like you are letting nothing get in the way of your Vietnam Cycling Challenge! Very inspiring. Keep up the great work and look forward to meeting you soon.
Kind regards,
Katie
